Cats Meow Feline Fosters

For many years, the animal control facility in Morehead, Kentucky consisted of a small 12 kennel "dog pound". At some point, a group of people formed a 501(c)(3) organization to save the dogs that were destined for euthanasia without their help.  But, when a new larger shelter was built in 2013, it would include a cat room and the intake of stray or unwanted cats and kittens. As caring people came together to help them, it became clear that the best path to succes was to form a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated 100% to helping the cats.  Cats Meow Feline Fosters became an incorporated Kentucky non-profit and received their IRS 501(c)(3) certification on May15, 2015.  

With a dedicated group of core people, CMFF, was able to accomplish much for the cats in 2015, and look forward to providing continued help for the cats through hard work, determination, and love.  We are working to help cats and kittens that come to the animal shelter by promoting adoptions via photos, online listings, and social media.  We also provide medicine and veterinary care for them when needed.  We work to help community cats living on their own with medical care and spay/neuter (TNR).   One of our main goals is also to work with the community to help people find low cost spay/neuter for their feline family members or community cats they are caring for.  

CMFF is honored to lead the effort to help cats and kittens in our community, and humbled by the support we receive.  It is our responsibility to use our funds as wisely as possible to help as many cats and kittens as we can.
