IT IS ASTOUNDING THAT at any given time, between the Tri-Cities and Walla Walla, there are 60-70 homeless veterans. The need in our community is huge!

The Columbia Basin Veterans Coalition is a non-profit organization providing services to aid transitional veterans in assimilating back into the civilian environment. We assist veterans in accessing the services and benefits they have earned by their service to our country; by educating the general public on the mental and physical effects of military service on veterans and their families; and supporting the social well-being of veterans and their families when transitioning back to civilian life.

The CBVC is currently working to help post 9/11 veterans begin a new life. CBVC's North Richland Student Transitional Housing project provides homeless or at risk of being homeless veterans a stable, structured, safe place to live where they can focus on gaining an education that will further their ability to contribute to their success as a civilian. But the house needs remodeling in order to increase the number of veterans served, provide a comfortable place for them to study, and to create a welcoming home environment.

Please consider making a donation to the project and help us make this dream a reality. Your donations will be used to purchase building materials, furniture, lighting, and to make the house a home the veterans served can be proud of.

Through your support, lives will be changed.
