Center For Training and Careers (CTC) is a community based non-profit, public benefit corporation, which has successfully provided education and employment assistance to the residents of Santa Clara County since 1977.  CTC was established to develop and enhance employment opportunities for the educationally and economically disadvantaged in the regional community.

Our successful training and placement is a direct result of involving business leaders in the development of CTC curriculum and training programs.  CTC also works with individual employers to design programs that prepare graduates for specific positions within their company.  By working so closely with employers, we are able to design specific and focused hands-on training environments that enable our newly hired graduates to make swift and measurable contributions to their new employers.  This valuable partnership ensures highly sikilled, reliable, and contributing employees.

CTC manages the Day Workers Center for the San Jose area.  The Center has provided two hot meals daily as well as hot showers, bus tokens, computer lab, and ESL intstruction for over 10,000 needing and deserving individuals.

In 1977 CTC first opened its doors at 1600 Las Plumas Avenue in San Jose.  In August of 2009 CTC moved into its present location at 749 Story Road, Suite 10 making a successful transition into our own building.
