The Nest – Center for Women, Children and Families is different than most other nonprofits that are singularly focused on one program.  The Nest has FOUR programs, that work together to help the whole family. We provide a safe place for counseling, education, and support to Women, Children, and Families in crisis. Our programs focus on the prevention of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect of children, and the stabilization of the family unit for FREE.  We are one of the only centers in Kentucky that provides totally free childcare!

Our four programs include: 

Child Care Program:  Our 3 Star Quality State Rated Child Care Program provides free, high quality respite child care for families in need.

Parenting Education and Support Program:  Assists parents who are currently exhibiting or wish to prevent abusive tendencies by educating them on effective parenting. We offer parenting assessments, parenting classes, and parenting self-help groups free of charge.   

Domestic Violence Counseling and Support Program:  We offer individual counseling, group counseling, advocacy for victims of domestic violence, and an attorney for individuals who are going through the court system for their emergency protective hearing. 

Crisis Care Management Program:  Assists families that are in need of basic emergency supplies such as:  food, toiletries, clothing, cleaning supplies, and offers referrals for food baskets.  Toiletry items consist of:  Diapers, Wipes, Shampoo, Conditioner, Baby Bath Products, and Soap.      

These four programs work together as a holistic approach for healing and support to the whole family in crisis.
