Every day we open our doors to help the predominately Hispanic-Latino community navigate in a system that is totally incomprehensible to them. We help refer them to the proper departments within our hospitals and government agencies, advocate for them, assist them with documentation in order to abide by the law, and offer English classes for adults during the day and in the evening. Additionally, we have a citizenship class that has helped many of our students become proud American citizens.

Our Saturday program, Leadership and Learning, aims to help mostly Hispanic-Latino students with English, math and science to give them a better opportunity to succeed in the educational system. Our wonderful volunteers assist the students to reach a higher level of understanding and confidence. The USNA Midshipmen also come and give the kids assistance and are fantastic role models. The Tennis Alliance comes and gives the children tennis lessons which gives them time outdoors for exercising and learning an active sport. We also offer a program called Strengthening the Family which helps families work through conflicts because of cultural differences and reunification.
