Founded in 1969, the Central PA Dance Workshop provides high caliber dance education to children and adults and promotes education in and through the arts throughout the State College community.
The school provides quality and professional-level dance education in a broad range of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, Irish, and more. The school's dedicated students receive education not only in dance training, but also in discipline, professionalism, creativity, and performance.
CPDW's student performance company, the Fraser Street Dancers, provides additional opportunity for advanced students to work with advanced choreography and performance opportunities. They also work throughout the community through workshops and performances geared towards bringing dance and promoting education through the arts to populations which may not otherwise have any exposure to the arts.
