Located in the heart of Utah County, Centro Hispano is working to strengthen and build the community from the ground up. From its beginnings in 2002, Centro Hispano has been a key location for Hispanic/Latino immigrants and new residents in Utah to start integrating themselves into their new community. Just like then, Centro Hispano is known today as being a safe and reliable agency for gaining the tools, education, and resources, orienting themselves to and giving back to the community.

NOTE: The amounts and description listed on the side are examples of what that amount can do for the community. For example, $10 can help purchase books but it can also purchase blankets for children or aid in the costs and fees for legal services.

Our programs for the community include:

Community Education: Our classes help individuals to gain the tools they need to strengthen and empower their lives. Students gain skills in English and Spanish, reading and writing, residential electricity, computation, can obtain GED training, and much more!

Health and Wellness: Not everyone has the ability to go to the gym, follow the latest health fads, or have a trainer help them make healthly lifestyle changes. That's where we come in, providing free Zumba Classes, hosting community Health Fairs, providing HIV and Hep C Testing, and combatting use of Tobacco.

Adelante for Teens: Helping teens set goals for more successul futures by teaching how to avoid risky behaviors and postpone their families until they are older, and by, preparing them for meaningful careers, becoming financially responsible, and developing healthy relationships.

Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic: When tax season ends, the problems for some are just beginning. Our Low-Income taxpayer clinic, helps resolve issues with the IRS and works to educate the community about important tax topics.

Community Resources: If the community has a question or concern, we have an answer. Individuals can obtain help with resume building, translations, notorizations, and application. If we don't provide the service needed, we know where to direct the community to get help. For example. if community members need help in their immigration matters, we can connect them to immigration attorney who can help in their case, free of charge.

Festival Latinoamericano: For three days we transform Provo to embody the heart of Latin America! Pulsing rhythms, vibrant dances, delicious food, and colorful costumes all transport you to a Latin getaway in the heart of downtown Provo. Even better, you become immersed in the wonderful diversity and opportunity of your own community.
