Chagrin Falls Alumni Association

               The Chagrin Falls Alumni Association was revived in 1989 with the purpose of tracking former class members, aiding classes in holding reunions, supporting Chagrin Falls school activities and maintaining the image and traditions of the Chagrin Falls School District.

               Since its founding, the Alumni Association has placed a memorial plaque at the high school’s library entrance in honor of those alumni who dedicated their lives in service of our country.  Other plaques, which are located in the middle school, honor Alumni Association’s Life Members, known as the Tiger Pride Club.  This club generates the resources for scholarships awarded to graduating seniors.  The Alumni Association also has a 501©(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service which makes it a charitable organization for tax deduction purposes.

                Other accomplishments of the Alumni Association specific to the school year 2011 - 2012 include:

• The Alumni Association finished the year with a total of 18 Life Memberships, bringing our grand total to 794 to help endow the scholarship fund.
• Awarded seven scholarships totaling $7,000 to graduating seniors in the class of 2011 (100 scholarships since 1990)
• Published three Tiger Tales newsletters (65 issues since January 1991)
• Maintained the Alumni Association website, Facebook group, and Twitter account
• Sponsored a Blossom Time All-Class Reunion at Town Hall with more than 400 alumni attending
• Provided a Blossom Parade float with the Chagrin Falls Booster Club, on which scholarship recipients rode
• Presented a flower at graduation to each graduate that had a parent as an alumnus; 20 graduates were alumni children and 4 of them had both parents as CFHS graduates
• Organized a very successful 15th Annual Chagrin Falls Alumni Association Golf Outing
• Held the 2nd Annual Alumni Choral Concert
• Held the 1st Annual Alumni Tiger Pride Rock Jam
• Helped organize and support many class reunions
• Conducted the 11th Chagrin Falls Schools’ Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet
• Sponsored several tours in the Chagrin Falls Schools’ Tom Mattern Historical Room
• Acquired and displayed more school memorabilia in the Chagrin Falls Schools Tom Mattern Historical Room, which is off of Sands Community Room.  This room contains nostalgic memorabilia dealing with the history of the Chagrin Falls School District and its many students. 
• Organized a very successful 15th Annual Chagrin Falls Alumni Basketball Game, 6th Annual Baseball Game, 3rd Annual Lacrosse Game, & 1st annual Men’s Soccer Game
