Lufkin Angelina County Chamber Foundation

A nonprofit organization

The Chamber Foundation houses the Leadership programs run through the Chamber of Commerce including Leadership Lufkin, Leadership Tomorrow, Leadership Lufkin Alumni Association, and Leading Edge. We are an advocate to promote economic prosperity and the business environment in our community.

Leadership Lufkin- is a prestigious nine-month introductory program designed to identify and educate the existing and potential leaders of Lufkin and Angelina County.
The program involves day-long sessions focused on familiarizing the class with various aspects of the community, including health care, safety, social services, local/county/state government, education, economic development, and quality of life in Angelina County.

Leadership Tomorrow- was created specifically for high school juniors and is organized by the Chamber. The program is designed to mirror the Leadership Lufkin program.
Students in the program have the opportunity to learn about Angelina County firsthand, to explore opportunities that exist for their futures in this area, and to give back to the community through community volunteer service.

Leadership Lufkin Alumni Association- is a network of leaders who are equipped with the skills and insight to work collaboratively across industries to positively impact Angelina County.
In May of 2008, the Leadership Lufkin Alumni Association was established to provide opportunities for participants, that have successfully completed the Leadership Lufkin program, to put into action the knowledge and skills acquired from the program.

Leading Edge-- Leading Edge is a fellowship, empowering early to mid-career professionals for lifelong community engagement and leadership through service on nonprofit boards. What differentiates this group from others is its demonstrated commitment to mentorship. Each Leading Edge member is paired with an accomplished senior executive who can help them navigate the road ahead with valuable insight and experience. Through these key tenets of knowledge and connections, the Leading Edge thrives on a desire to enrich the Lufkin community while simultaneously propelling their own careers.
The program also includes a board governance leadership training segment within each session, facilitated by the Angelina College Center for Nonprofit Leadership, and culminates at the celebratory graduation. Graduates will also obtain a certificate in Board Governance from Angelina College and the opportunity to be placed into a board bank.
