Our Mission:

Charlotte Pride creates programs and activities to enrich, empower, strengthen, and make visible the unique lives and experiences of LGBTQ people in Charlotte and the Carolinas.

With your support, our community can thrive with Pride!

Our annual Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade, set for August 17 and 18, 2024, in Uptown Charlotte, has become a beloved tradition for LGBTQ+ Carolinians and their allies. In fact, it has grown to become the largest annual event in Uptown Charlotte. And, our Charlotte Pride Parade set a record in 2023 with almost 11,000 people, representing about 200 organizations, marching in the parade. Our festival zone welcomes around 260,000 attendees over the course of the weekend and hosts a Youth and Family Zone, and indoor arts experience called Flourish, dozens of hours of entertainment, and much more. 

Your generous support this year will allow us to continue producing this free, public event for the Charlotte region's LGBTQ and ally populations. Our signature annual event is huge, but is produced by just three staff people, along with dozens of volunteers who work alongside us year-round. The Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade also fuels and funds our year-round programming, from a job fair to a film festival.

Charlotte Pride envisions a world in which LGBTQ people are affirmed, respected, and included in the full social and civic life of their local communities, free from fear of any discrimination, rejection, and prejudice. We are committed to keeping our signature annual event free and inclusive of all.
