Chase Away the Clouds Inc

Cancer is the #1 cause of death in Idaho.  We have 538,000 people who live in rural communities and when faced with a cancer diagnosis, these patients have limited or nonexistent treatment facilities.  Patients need to travel to a city where chemo and/or radiation treatment is available.  This means finding temporary housing, which can be costly and lonely.  This is another cloud on an already stressful situation causing some to forgo treatment altogether!

Chase Away the Clouds would provide a cost-free "home away from home" for adult patients who need to travel twenty-five miles or more from home to receive cancer treatment. Patients, age twenty-one and older, will receive comfort and support at the cancer house, similar to the goals of the Ronald McDonald House for children.
