The Cherrydale Youth have been serving those in need across Virginia and around the world since 2009 through our annual summer mission trip. We have repaired homes in rural Appalachia and rebuild those destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in New York. This summer will be our most ambitious trip to date, as we will be traveling with 12 youth and 4 adults to serve children and their families in the Cayo District of Belize. This is one of the poorest areas in Central America; nearly fifty percent of the families in Cayo live in huts without running water.

In selecting the trip location, our youth focused on Jesus’ charge to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and shelter the homeless. Belize gives our youth the opportunity to be Christ’s hands and feet in a culture outside of their own. We will be serving the children of the community by running a Vacation Bible School program and other recreational ministries. Additionally, we will work on local homes to improve the standard of living for the families of the community.

Support is needed to help subsidize the cost of the trip for the youth attending and to purchase the necessary supplies for the Vacation Bible School program. Please consider a donation to help us serve others and share the love of Christ!
