Chesapeake College is committed to the success of our students. Our faculty, staff and administration work together as a community to create an environment in which learning flourishes.

 

Supporting Chesapeake College during the BIG GIVE will assist our students in the following areas:

• Athletics: Our student athletes represent Chesapeake through excellence in sports and academics.
• Honors Program: This program provides excellent and adventurous teaching and learning experiences at Chesapeake.
• SGA - Alternative Spring Break: Help our students help others as the travel to New Orleans for Spring Break to continue with the rebuilding efforts there.
• Phi Theta Kappa: Support student members of this international honors society, who are recognized for academic excellence. 
• General Scholarship Fund: Many students need scholarship support now more than ever before.

• 50% of Maryland's undergraduate students are enrolled in Maryland's 16 community colleges, with more than 500,000 students educated and trained by community colleges.
• More than 50% of the students in our five-county region who go on to college come to Chesapeake College.
• 94% of the students who attend community colleges are Marylanders who choose to stay in Maryland after receiving their degree.
• For every tax dollar spent on community colleges, taxpayers get $2 back in higher tax revenues.
• Community colleges continue to be less than half the cost of tuition at one of Maryland’s four-year public colleges or universities and one-eighth the cost of a private institution.
