ChesPenn Health Services

A nonprofit organization

Building generations of wellness in Delco.

Our story began in 1973 when we opened our doors as The
Children’s Clinic of Chester in a double-wide trailer on Tilghman Street in the
City of Chester with three employees.

On that first day, they saw 11 patients.

 In 1982, we added
adult medical care and general dentistry services and changed our name to
ChesPenn Health Services.  We also
received status as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) from the Health
Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Today, ChesPenn cares for almost 15,000 children and
adults a year regardless of their insurance status and ability to pay.

We currently have two health centers in Delaware County:  Chester and Upper Darby.

ChesPenn offers primary medical care, women’s health
services, general dentistry, and behavioral healthcare complemented by health
education and social services to address our patients’ social drivers of
health.

Many essential services provided by ChesPenn are not
directly reimbursed by federal funding or insurance.

To continue providing quality health services to the most
vulnerable members of our communities, we need the support of our neighbors and
of the business and professional communities in Delaware County.
