Child Assault Prevention Project of Washoe County

As the skills-based child abuse prevention workshop trusted by the Washoe County School District for over 30 years, the CAP project teaches 2nd, 4th and 6th grade students in our community how to recognize and ward off abusive situations they may encounter with bullies, strangers, Internet predators and other abusive people before victimization can happen. The interactive workshop engages children with demonstrations, songs and role plays designed to empower them to say "NO" to abuse and get help right away so the hurting stops and the healing begins.
