What do you believe in?

Each year, Children of Bellevue provides our special programs and services to more than 50,000 needy children growing up below the poverty level all around us in New York City.  Their parents love them and want the very best for them, they just need a little help from us to give it to them.

Bellevue Hospital provides them with great medical care.

We provide "more than medicine" in the form of programs and services our patients and their families might otherwise not have access to:

Reach Out and Read - Giving more than 12,000 new books each year to children six months through five years old

Child Life and Development - Advocating for children and parents in the hospital to make the experience less frightening and less stressful

Child Protection and Development - Helping victims of child abuse recover and heal

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry - with the ONLY emergency room in New York State specifically for kids in psychiatric crisis, and a 45 bed inpatient unit

Developmental Pediatric Fellowship - Addressing the urgent shortage of physicians specially trained to diagnose and treat Autism, ADHD and other developmental disorders

Video Interaction Project - Empowering parents to play and take an active role in their children's development through guided play
