Children to Love International

We are excited to be participating in Give Big Kern again this year! Your support is such a gift to us. We love Give Big Kern because it is a local, Kern County effort that rallies support for nonprofits in our community. Kern County is amazing, generous and innovative, and we are blessed to be headquartered here. 

Children to Love International is a registered 501(c)(3) committed to the care of nearly 1,300 orphaned, abandoned or at-risk children in the name of Jesus. We have partnerships in Romania, India, Uganda, Ukraine, Thailand and Kenya, focused on meeting the needs of these children. Through education, spiritual teaching, economic support, physical assistance and social intervention, Children to Love seeks to equip all children to become independent, contributing members of their communities and fully committed followers of Jesus.​

The CTL story started when the eyes of a few individuals were opened to the deplorable living conditions of abandoned children in Romania during the orphan crisis in the early 90's. The story grew and continued as the ministry expanded through divine appointments into other parts of the world.

Much of our work in Ukraine and Romania has shifted over the last few years in response to the war in Ukraine. Our partners in both Ukraine and Romania are caring for refugee families and bringing the light and hope of Jesus to families in need. They are feeding, clothing and offering assistance as they serve primarily mothers and children. A big focus of their work is providing psychological care, which has been so powerful for these families, and especially children, experiencing unfathomable trauma and upheaval. 

Today, Children to Love has partnerships in SIX countries: Romania (CTL Romania), India (partner name omitted for their protection), Uganda (Mercy Childcare Ministry), Ukraine (Future for Children), Thailand (Grace Boarding House) and Kenya (LifeWay Children's Centre). Children to Love desires to come alongside partner ministries which serve as protective havens for vulnerable children, all in the name of Jesus. We serve as a platform for financial support, but our emphasis on relationships is one of our core values. It is our desire to see our partner ministries empowered and continuing to thrive as they pursue social justice for the vulnerable children with whom they work.

Children to Love also has a Child Sponsorship program, giving you the opportunity to help support the growth and development of a child in need in a tangible way. For $40 per month, you can help cover the cost of providing food, education, medical care and spiritual teaching for a child in Romania, India, Uganda, Ukraine, Thailand or Kenya.
