Equipping Children for Access and Opportunity

Children’s Assistive Technology Service (C.A.T.S.) provides for the re-use of pediatric rehabilitation equipment and assistive technology devices in Virginia. C.A.T.S. serves as a no-cost resource for children with disabilities who need adaptive equipment and whose families have limited resources. Assistive technology allows children with disabilities to: play with their friends and siblings participate in meals and bath timesexplore their world be more independent. C.A.T.S. provided 1340 pieces of adaptive mobility and communication equipment to 1203 families in 2023. This equipment had an estimated value of $2 million dollars.

None of this could be possible if it was not for the support of the SML community. You were there from the very beginning and have continued to support C.A.T.S. and numerous other nonprofits to make this a better place to live. Thank you.
