The Children’s Cancer Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving children who have cancer or chronic blood disorders and their families by giving them the emotional, financial, and educational support they need to cope with life-threatening illnesses.

The Center was founded in 1974 by Mac and Cecile Burnett, who lost their daughter Helen to leukemia, and Dr. Janifer M. Judisch, who envisioned an organization that would help alleviate the stress of coping with pediatric hematology and oncology.

The philosophy of our founders was that when a child is diagnosed, the entire family is diagnosed. It takes more than just medicine to be well. Therefore, the CCC offers 24 different support programs and services which focus on the daily needs of more than 1,000 families during all stages of their journey: diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and too often, bereavement.
