The Children's Montessori School of Georgetown is creating a natural outdoor playground to extend learning beyond the classroom!  

Uncovering the path for discovery; developing the possibilities within!  

The Children's Montessori School utilizes Montessori principles for each child to:

• Be filled with a lifelong love of learning; 
• Reach their full potential; 
• Awaken a passion of knowledge and joy of creativity; 
• Foster a strong sense of self and respect for others; and 
• Become fully engaged  

Serving students from 18 months through kindergarten, we facilitate for:

• First Grade Readiness and Beyond; 
• Applied Learning; 
• Hands-on Education; 
• Self-Paced Curriculum; and a 
• Close, Caring Community

 

We are also raising funds to provide tution assistance to families in need.  We believe that all young children desreve the best academic and social experiences! 

Children's Montessori School of Georgetown, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, stems from a tradition of Montessori education in Scott County dating back to 1965 and has been in continuous operation since its founding.

Montessori Education offers our children opportunities to develop their potential as they step out into the world as engaged, competent, responsible, and respectful citizens with an understanding and appreciation that learning is for life!

The Montessori Method provides students with hands-on, individualized learning experiences that both engage and challenge the student, while developing the skills needed to further learning and education. The Montessori curriculum addresses the whole child.

  At Children's Montessori School, our students are encouraged to learn as we respect and follow the rhythms of each child during their discovery of the world. At CMS, you will find a warm, caring environment with developmentally appropriate materials and activities where all children thrive! 

Each classroom is directed by a teacher who possesses a Montessori Teaching Credential and a knowledgeable assistant teacher. Both participate in Professional Development opportunities and meet or exceed 15 hours of Continuing Education Units annually.
