About The Resource Room

For over 25 years, The Resource Room has been a trusted pillar in the Miami Gardens community, impacting more than 14,000 students and families across South Florida. Our mission is to inspire, equip, and educate individuals while connecting them to resources and opportunities that help them thrive

Our Impact

We provide programs that strengthen families, empower youth, and build safer, stronger communities.

• After-School Programs – Academic support, mentoring, leadership, chess, golf, and entrepreneurship for students K–12.
• Project Connect – Eviction prevention, financial literacy, mental health services, employment assistance, transportation, and wraparound family support.
• Military Mondays – Lunch, toiletries, and essential resources for veterans and widows of veterans.
• NAACP Youth Council – Leadership development and advocacy training for more than 60 youth members.
• Golf Program – Building skills, discipline, and confidence through structured golf activities.
• Gun Safety & Awareness Summit – Annual summit teaching conflict resolution, gun safety, and violence prevention.
