The Children’s Cabinet is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year! Today, we are proud to say we serve 11,000 Nevada families annually. 

The Children's Cabinet offers 24 programs for families and children (birth to 24 yrs.) Program services available to families include:

• Child Care Resources
• Child Care Referrals
• Free Parenting Classes
• Free Family Counseling'
• Food Pantries
• Alternative High School
• Tutoring and Work Experience for Teens
• Gang and Substance Abuse Prevention
• Outreach to Homeless and Runaway Youth
• Transitional Support for Foster Youth

 

The Children’s Cabinet’s success in our community can be seen in the impact it has on youth and families that have been connected to resources.

• 92% of youth and parents receiving case- management support meet their goals and significantly improve their situations.  

• 84% of families receiving child care subsidy achieve their employment goals.

• 98% of parents reported an increase in knowledge from parenting classes.

• 92% of the youth participating in our teen after- school programming do not offend or re-offend, staying out of Juvenile Services.

 

As a non-profit agency, The Children’s Cabinet relies upon community support in order to offer programs and services at no charge to at-risk children and their families.
