Childress Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a non-profit organization
dedicated to providing emergency financial aid for those who are financially
struggling, sick and/or are elderly in Childress County.

Applicants are required to fill out an application and then
the application is reviewed, checked for facts of accuracy and then sent to the
Board for approval or denial.  The
application requires full disclosure of any assistance being given, type of
help being requested and circumstances surrounding their need.

 Since March 15, 2022, 135 families/individuals have received
assistance for rent, utilities, clothing and food, totaling $80,847.  Thirteen applications have been denied due to
false information being provided, or lack of effort to help themselves.  We have partnered with New 4 U and the food
pantry to help with food and clothing needs.

 Our organization is working to fill a need not being met in
our community.  Help is needed through
financial donation to meet our goals.

 We, the Board of Directors, are asking for your help.  If you feel compelled to donate to assist
Helping Hands with a financial donation, please know you are making life a
little less hard for those struggling.
