The Foundation was established to support the Museum and raise funds to build a new facility to operate, maintain, and house the U. S. Naval Museum of Armament and Technology.  The Navy has made it clear that it will not help operate such a building.  However, the Navy has agreed to loan artifacts and access to archives for use in the development of exhibits and deployment in a relocated Museum accessible by the public.

The Museum docents share the rich history of China Lake, its patriotic, and innovative workforce including the early pioneers. The Museum education team provide educational opportunities for Department of Defense employees, their families, the community, and schools’ youth to engage in STEM application through experiential learning provided by the “rocket scientist” education program and special “interactive science” exhibit areas.

A nominal contribution of $10 dollars per family member will make a public accesible museum of technology and armament a reality in Kern County.  Help us bring visitors to Kern County to see the great contributions of this county to agriculture, education, natural resources, and Defense of our Nation through the application of science, technology, and business.
