Choreographers Collaboration Project

CCP, a modern dance company based in Del Ray, enriches Alexandria’s artistic and cultural life by:

• Creating and presenting original dance works in concerts throughout Alexandria and the D.C. metro area.

• Serving as a lab to develop and nurture local emerging and established choreographers.

• Partnering with local artists, including Alexandria’s poet laureate, by offering “play nights” to inspire collaboration across artistic disciplines.

• Offering weekly modern dance and choreography classes to Alexandria youth ages, 8 - 18 years old.  No child is excluded because CCP offers these classes for a donation or volunteer hours.

• Participating in the Aging Creatively Festival, a Virginia regional celebration of senior adults and the arts by presenting a dance concert free to all senior citizens. 

• Partnering with the Mt. Vernon Recreation Center in Del Ray to present dance workshops and performances for the after-school program.
