Affirming Therapy

Affirming Therapy, Inc was started as a way to provide low cost help to LGBTQ+ individuals navigating the challenging journeys of coming out, religious trauma, social or family rejection, and the depression, shame, and even suicidal ideation that can accompany these journeys.  Many in the LGBTQ+ community have limited resources and lack access to care through insurance.  Affirming Therapy tries to step in by seeking tax deductible donations that can then be given in the form of a 12 session scholarship for individuals with limited financial resources who are often desperately in need of professional support.

We awarded our first scholarship in August 2023 and since then we've been able to award more than 40 scholarships to LGBTQ+ individuals seeking care.  Our hope is to be able to say "Yes, we can help" to all who reach out for assistance.
