Christian Services for Children in Alabama, Inc - Unit of the National Benevolent Association (Disciples of Christ)

Christian Services for Children in Alabama's mission is to show the love of Christ by providing counseling and other related services to children and their families.

Since 1991 as a unit of the National Benevolent Association of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, CSCA was incorporated as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency  to provide community-based services that are designed to prevent the  further deterioration of families who have a history of unfavorable circumstances including inadequate parenting, domestic violence, substance abuse and mental illnesses.

In partnership with the Alabama Department of Human Resources, CSCA embarks to provide Family Preservation Service that's  intended to help families remain safely together focusing on ways to cope with life challenges without unnecessary separation. Additionally, our agency provides therapeutic foster care for children and youth who require out-of-home care due to abuse and neglect coupled with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Therapeutic Foster Care is uniquely designed  to help children and youth explore healthy outlets to healing occurring from their unfortunate situations.
