Christian Womens Job Corps of Madison County Alabama Inc

Christian Women's Job Corps of Madison County, AL, Inc. provides job readiness skills, an internship program, and GED tutoring to women in Madison County and its surrounding counties.  The cities served include Athens, Decatur, Gurley, Hartselle, Huntsville, Madison, New Hope, Owens Cross Roads, and Triana.

Our services offer hope to women in need of computer training, life skills, tutoring, help with resumes, job search skills, mock interviews, money management information, and spiritual development.  In addition, we provide a career clothes closet, financial scholarships for college and vocational schools, a donor vehicle program, and used computers for our participants.  Trained mentors work with our students to assist them in determining their goals and holding them accountable for reaching them. Our success stories include women who have passed the GED examination, gone on to college or vocational school, started their own businesses, or secured stable employment.  Giving to CWJC of Madison County allows us to continue these programs and expand to other services in order to provide the tools to our students that lead to self-sufficiency.  We give a hand up, not a hand out.
