Christian Family Adoptions has been placing children in Oregon and Washington homes since 1958. Each member of our team is passionate about giving the best help and service we can to everyone involved in the adoption process: children, adoptive families, and birth parents.

Right now we are working hard to change the way our culture thinks about birth parents and adoption. Facing an unplanned pregnancy is something no woman should have to do alone, but unfortunately, our culture’s stigma towards a woman placing her baby for adoption fills the already difficult process with shame and guilt. We want to change that. We hope that birth mothers will be seen as brave, self-sacrificing women who chose the harder thing and gave their baby a better chance at life and family than they themselves could provide.

Women come to us from a huge range of circumstances and seasons of life. We’ve seen single moms, married women, young college students, and women from every range of economic background you can imagine. No matter how they come to us, and what their circumstance, these women are all struggling with the same questions: “Will I be able to provide for my baby if I parent?” “Will my child hate me if I make an adoption plan?” “Does placing my baby for adoption make me a bad mother?” This is where we come in. We help each birth mom filter through her circumstances, questions, and options, and make a plan that truly is best for her baby, and herself. Although it is not the right choice for everyone, we believe that sometimes adoption truly is the best option.

Practically, we not only offer emotional support and a compassionate listening ear, but also provide these women with any resources they need to keep their lives as stress free as possible during their pregnancy.

Here’s where you come in. Connecting with women and empowering them to reach out for help takes a lot of time, effort, and funds. It’s a huge undertaking. The proceeds from this Giving Tuesday fundraiser will support our efforts in reaching those young women who are alone and unsure where to turn for help. We can't do this without you!
