Founded in 1986, Chrysalis House, Inc. is one of Maryland’s premier providers of drug treatment services for women and their children. We have grown from a 10 bed program in Pasadena, Maryland to a regional agency serving over 100 women annually. The word Chrysalis and our butterfly logo represent the experience of transformation that women go through when they enter the Chrysalis House. Chrysalis House, Inc. has a sole purpose: to enhance treatment opportunities and outcomes for women suffering from alcoholism and other drug dependence. Chrysalis House, Inc. is one of the leading agencies in Maryland, providing addiction treatment and prevention services for women and their at-risk children. We operate three residential treatment facilities: Chrysalis House located in Crownsville, MD, Avery Halfway House in Rockville, MD and Chrysalis House Healthy Start in Baltimore, MD. In addition to residential services, the organization provides an outpatient treatment program called W.A.T.C.H and operates three supportive recovery houses for women and their children.
