Centre for International Ethnomedicinal Edu and Research

We serve as a focal point for the exchange of ethnomedicinal knowledge and to establish an international network of ethnobotanical researchers. CIEER's goals are to

1) Preserve Traditional Botanical Knowledge in indigenous languages.

2) Provide library and information services to Native Peoples (primarily Native Hawaiians and Native Americans).

3) Serves individuals interested in the history, culture, and contributions of Native Hawaiians.

4) Educate the public concerning the use of plants for healing by traditional cultures and to promote the safe and effective use of medicinal plants.
