ABOUT CIRCUS CENTER

Circus Center is the oldest and largest circus training facility on the west coast. Our mission is to inspire passion for the circus arts and share the joy of circus with everyone.

Since our founding in 1984 by members of the Pickle Family Circus, we have offered recreational and professional training and performance opportunities to hundreds of youth and adults in clowning and physical comedy, acrobatics, aerial performance, flying trapeze and more.

With the support of donors like you, we can make sure any interested young person can participate in Circus Center’s youth program, and take advantage of the numerous social and health benefits of circus arts.

Help a young person discover their inner strength and creativity as they run, play, balance, climb and laugh in Circus Center’s youth programs. Donate today to bring the joy of circus arts to underserved and underrepresented youth!

ARTISTIC EXPRESSION, PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND CIRCUS JOY FOR UNDERSERVED YOUTH

Circus Center's Youth Program serves youth age 7-18. Recreational programs include recreational after-school classes, fun and active summer circus day camps, and two advanced pre-professional training troupes, Rising Stars and San Francisco Youth Circus.

In these programs, youth have the opportunity to explore the full spectrum of circus arts: acrobatics, aerial arts, clowning, juggling, stilt-walking, and more, led by top-notch faculty who have taught and performed all over the world.

As a physical art form with a diversity of disciplines, circus is a uniquely powerful delivery system for physical fitness, social health, and creative self-expression to a wide range of youth.

Juggling develops dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and multitasking. Acrobatics and aerial arts train flexibility, body awareness, and physical fitness at a level similar to gymnastics, and combines them with the creativity of performing arts. Clowning and physical comedy grow self-awareness, empathy, physical stamina, willingness to take risks, and self-confidence.

All of these things are vital to a young person’s development - but many young people from underserved populations still remain underrepresented in our programs. With your help, we can invest in their success.

WHAT YOUR DONATION DOES

Your donation helps us invest in the youth who are underrepresented in our programs, including low-income, African-American, Asian-American, and Latino/Hispanic-American youth, giving them the freedom to experience the magic of circus in their communities and in our facility.

The money raised today will help us increase our financial aid offerings, provide transportation, purchase safety equipment, produce free performances, and serve other vital needs to help us serve underrepresented youth in our recreational and pre-professional youth programs.

Circus Center wants to serve the young people who need programs like ours the most: active, consistent, and most of all fun programs that help them discover their own strength and creativity. With your help, we can succeed. Donate today!
