WHAT DOES YOUR BIG GIVE LOOK LIKE?
Imagine not being able to see the board in class. Imagine being so hungry, you can’t concentrate on a math problem. Imagine not knowing where you will sleep tonight, much less do your homework.
These are some of the problems thousands of Nevada students face every day. Every day, those problems push students one more step towards dropping out. Each school day, 94 students dropout in Nevada.
Communities In Schools of Nevada helps break the dropout cycle. 85% of case-managed seniors graduated from high school.
CIS of Nevada serves almost 58,000 students in all grade levels in 59 schools statewide. In our comprehensive sites, a CIS Site Coordinator connects students in need with critical resources like food, clothing, counseling, and health care access. Site coordinators also case manage students to monitor their academic and behavior performances throughout the school year, provide tutoring, credit retrieval and career exploration options, as well as always letting them know a caring adult is there to help guide them.
There are hundreds of schools and thousands of students who need our help. $10 provides a winter coat of backpack. $75 provides a graduating senior with a cap and gown.
Your donation to CIS of Nevada can also help us add schools that are on our waiting list right now. For $200 per student per year, CIS of Nevada provides a full range of services that addresses all the risk factor for dropout.
This year, even your small give can become a Big Give that changes lives and our future.
