Clara's Little Lambs Preschool Academy

Clara's Little Lambs is committed to providing quality, affordable child care. Both facilities have over 10,000 square feet with no less than four wonderfully-equipped playgrounds. The inclusive playgrounds include play space for infants and toddlers.The school is committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment. The environment is designed to stimulate a child's physical, cognitive, creative and emotional development. We focus on helping children learn through communication.

Both Clara's Little Lambs locations offer educational services for children who participate in local and federally funded programs. These programs are LA4, NSECD, Early Head Start, Childcare Assistance, and the City Seat Program. We service children and families who are considered "at risk," but at Clara's Little Lambs, we take an individualized approach to each child and family to ensure all children are successful during their early years of education. Teachers work with children from birth to Pre-K 4, individualize their lesson plan so that all children can learn at their specific level and pace. We use the Creative Curriculum for all age levels including infant. All of our programs are inclusive, meaning children of all abilities are included in our classrooms and we maintain a low ratio for all classrooms. For children from birth to two our ratios are 8 students to 2 teachers. Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 have class sizes of 20 children to 2 teachers. This is significantly lower than state licensing requirements for teacher child/ ratios and enables true individualized learning for our young scholars. Children who finish our program are prepared to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. Some of our former student have be recognized as National Merit Scholars, High School Valedictorians and successful college graduates.
