$20,000 Goal

The Clark County Veterans Assistance Center (CCVAC) was born from many conversations by local Vietnam Veterans who said, “There oughta be a place…” Through the dedication of countless volunteered hours, the Center opened in 2011 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The mission was and remains that of providing a welcome and safe environment to assist Veterans and their families in obtaining benefits, services, and resources to meet their basic needs. Today's Veterans still face the same challenges. So many come home without the skills and support to reintegrate back into society. CCVAC helps our brave Servicemen and Women file their claims with the VA, apply for housing assistance, employment, job training and even substance abuse assistance if necessary. CCVAC is also there to get them Emergency food, clothing, and shelter. CCVAC also provides our homeless Veterans outdoor equipment such as backpacks, sleep bags, blankets, etc. We value keeping our Veterans and their families housed and preventing them from becoming homeless. CCVAC has made it its continuous mission to help our Veterans obtain the well-deserved benefits and assistance they need, in every way possible.

In October of 2024, CCVAC serviced 1,591 visits, phone calls and emails. The Vet Fund serviced 461 Veterans via in-person visits, emails or phone calls. In that same month, CCVAC served 1,175 Breakfasts and Sack Lunches, provided 42 Food Boxes for a Total Cost of $3,435. And the need continues to grow every month! CCVAC also provided 83 Thanksgiving Meal Boxes this year, thanks to some very generous donors! That is why every penny you donate counts. 97 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to our Veterans and their families. The other 3 cents “keeps the lights on”. Whatever you are able to give, we use it to support our deserving Veterans and their families. We make every effort to stretch our dollars as far as they will go. With the support of generous people like yourself, this can make the difference between having a place to live or ending up homeless. That is why everyday our Staff and Volunteers strive to bring help and hope to those who are struggling. Will you help us extend that helping hand by donating today?
