Clay Studio

The Clay Studio is a nonprofit ceramic arts institution located in Philadelphia. We seek to provide a unique learning environment in which to experience the ceramic arts.

We believe that everyone, regardless of age, education, or background, deserves access to the arts. Through its kinesthetic nature, clay is an accessible art form regardless of skill level- for students with little access to arts education, clay serves as an easy and engaging method of learning.

The Clay Studio’s Claymobile Outreach Program is a direct-service mobile arts outreach program providing hands-on ceramic art education to over 2,300 Philadelphia youth each year.

For over 40 years, the Claymobile has sent teaching artists to schools, community centers, and social service agencies in two vans equipped with all of the tools, clay, and glazes needed for ceramic art lessons. By bringing art education directly to students who need it the most, we are furthering our mission while also integrating art and culture into the lives of a new generation.

Help us reach our goal of $27,000 to fund nine residencies of the Claymobile Outreach Program and keep clay in the classroom.
