Clean Fuels Ohio the designated U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Coalition for the state of Ohio. Not only is Clean Fuels Ohio the largest Clean Cities Coalition, but we are also a 501(c)3 nonprofit which gives us significant flexibility with our programs and activities.
Our Consulting Services Program focuses on public and private fleet consulting and infrastructure analysis and planning. The Consulting Services Program also runs a free certification program called Ohio Green Fleets. Fleets are certified on a one, three, and five star rating scale based on key pollutant reductions and efficiency gains as a result of adopting an alternative fuel or advanced vehicle technology solution. Our Consulting Services team also performs grant writing services and operator, technician, and safety training.
Our Membership Program consists of key stakeholders involved in the alternative fuel and vehicle tech industry throughout the state of Ohio. Industry members, implementers, and advocates alike join our membership program at one of 6 levels and become part of our leveraged networks to make connections that lead to additional alternative fuel and vehicle tech deployments.
Our Policy Program works at the Federal, State, and Local level to educate policymakers and key influencers about pro-alternative fuel legislation and initiatives. We host educational events and meetings, give testimony, give feedback on key programs, and more through out Policy Program.
Our Drive Electric Ohio (DEO) Program is our only fuel-specific program focusing purely on transportation electrification. Focused on consumer education, the DEO program works at the local level to educate individual motorists about the benefits and opportunities around driving electric. The DEO Program has several chapters throughout the state run by volunteers who are passionate about electric vehicles.
We also have another program that is dedicated to managing the projects we are awarded from the U.S. Department of Energy (USDOE). This program is currently managing nine USDOE projects ranging from proof of concept to data collection to demos and more.
