Cleats for Feet Foundation

Cleats for Feet came about after our children outgrew numerous pairs of barely used athletic shoes and baseball cleats. We wanted to pass the shoes/cleats onto kids who needed a decent pair.  After asking other families, they also had shoes/cleats taking up space in their closets and it was then that Cleats for Feet took on a life of it's own.

Today we collect shoes from friends, family, neighbors and school mates. Schools support Cleats for Feet through service projects and our organization has also been supported by kids trying to earn their Eagle Scout award.  Each pair of shoes/cleats are washed, shoelaces restrung if necessary and a new pair of socks are stuffed into each pair.  We then box the shoes up and deliver them to the receiving organization. 

We are a small foundation trying to make a difference for kids participating in youth sports in high risk areas of the city.  We believe youth sports helps keep kids out of trouble and teaches important life lessons along the way.
