One of the quotes in Emergency Medicine is that “In a true emergency, your equipment should not be the emergency.” The donations we receive will significantly impact our organization and our future. With the money we will be funding needs such as furthering the first responders’ education, upgrading our older equipment, and purchasing new equipment for additional members who join.
County Line First Responders is a volunteer service, which serves an 8x15 mile radius of call area. Responders respond to calls at any time of the day or night. County Line serves approximately 6,500 people in the surrounding communities. The First Responders travel to the townships of Osceola, Alden, Farmington, and the Village of Osceola. These townships rely on County Line for the safety of their public. Volunteers for our organization respond to calls at any time of the day or night, and use their private vehicles when responding. Their primary duty is to provide safe and efficient care until a higher care provider arrives. The County Line organization works very closely with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies from Osceola, St Croix Falls, Amery, New Richmond, and Lakeview. County Line Responders are each provided medical/trauma packs with supplies, oxygen, and an automated external defibrillator (AED) to carry in their vehicles so that they can provide onsite care immediately. These pieces of equipment allow County Line First Responders to treat any sick patient either young or old.
