Clothes to Kids Inc

Recently at our St. Pete Store, a grandmother raising and shopping with her three grandchildren came in.  She said, “I want you to know I got up this morning and I hurt. I thought to myself, this can’t be done, and I have no idea how to raise these kids, except to love them.” She told us that shopping with Rita and the volunteers gave her more than clothes – it gave her hope. 

That same day, ten year old, Javon came in to shop.  Our Executive Director, Patti Hanks began talking to Javon.  He told her that he wasn’t sure which kind of engineer he’d like to be yet…electrical, chemical, mechanical, civic, he still needed more time to decide. She said back to Javon "fair enough, and I want to support you on your journey while you decide."

Children only get one childhood. At Clothes To Kids we want to live in a community where every child has access to a week’s worth of clothing, free of charge, including the uniforms they need to attend school. We want every low-income, in crisis, homeless kid to get this clothing with as little stress as possible. We want them to shop in one of our stores with dignity, fun, and have a great shopping experience. 

Clothes are what we do. This is what we’ve always done. This is what we will continue to do. We know you are with us. It’s more than just a nice idea.  And with you’re help, we know we can do even more.
