Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO)

Our Core Purpose: Transforming college students to transform the world.The CCO is a campus ministry that partners with churches, colleges and other organizations to develop men and women who live out their Christian faith in all areas of life.

'The university is a clear-cut fulcrum with which to move the world. Change the university and you change the world,' Dr. Charles Malik, former UN President. In 20 years, a CMU student could be your governor, an Allegheny College student could be your doctor, and a Pitt student could be your child's teacher. Today's college students are tomorrow's leaders. Our mission is transforming college students to transform the world. College students face many choices and easy access to negative distractions. Most teenagers are unlikely to attend church on entering college. And despite searching for meaning and purpose in life, they have few opportunities to do so. Through leadership development and service, 227 CCO staff give students on 102 campuses a vision to impact the world. They provide opportunities for students to serve locally and globally. They work with churches, colleges and organizations to develop men and women who will be leaders of faith in all areas of society.
