Coastside Post 474 The American Legion

Our goal has always been to help our Vets and families as well as
promoting community, education and local sports. We also sponsor students to attend
Boy's State and Girl's State. We provide a free dinner for all, Vets and general public, on
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. We host the VA Out Reach Traveling Medical
Support facility on a monthly basis. We promote an annual Vets to Vets Blues Festival
attended by many Vets from local VA facilities, often wheelchair confined and visually
impaired. Families often use our outdoor facility for memorial services for our passing
Vets. Our town picnic is always well attended on the fourth of July. We provide a place for
Vets of all ages and their families to get together, socialize and find support on a daily
basis.
