Cochise College Foundation

Providing scholarships to enable students to attend college and pursue rewarding careers to improve the quality of life of themselves and their families has been the primary focus of the Cochise College Foundation during its 46-year history. Last year, the foundation awarded more than $320,000 in scholarships that were provided by many individuals and alumni, businesses, and private foundations. Contributions to the foundation also help Cochise College academic and athletic programs advance, assisting with the costs of things like new technologies in the library, testing for students taking the GED exam, and equipment for programs like art and athletics. In 2011-2012, more than $130,000 was directed to these types of needs. Finally, the foundation has historically assisted the college in development of new or renovated facilities, expenses that become more crucial with each passing year. Aging facilities require attention, and modernizing and expanding them not only inspires students to use them, but also allows the college to enhance its academic programming to meet the needs of today's workforce.
