The Cochise County Humane Society is an organization vitally interested in eliminating the problems of unwanted, abused or neglected companion animals and free roaming cats. Our goals are to promote responsible pet ownership and to reduce pet overpopulation by assisting low-income residents with low-cost spay/neuter programs. We also have a program for emergency veterinarian services. Our cat rescue program includes TNR (trap/neuter/return) spay/neuter, foster care for adoptable kittens, an adoption program through PetSmart and feeding the feral cat communities. We do not operate a shelter but we work with the local shelters in the County. We are a 501 (c) 3 corporation, therefore all dues and donations are tax-exempt. All funds are spent in Cochise County and 100% of donations are spent directly on animal care and welfare.
We have a monthly meeting the 4th Tuesday of the month at 1:30 at the Sierra Vista United Methodist Church at 3225 St. Andrews Drive in Sierra Vista. Members, volunteers and potential volunteers are welcome to join us.
