The Treasurer's Office is led by the associate vice president for finance and assistant treasurer, who oversees treasury services, environmental health and safety and risk management.
Treasury services constitutes the university's short and long-term financing. The office of environmental health and safety is responsible for laboratory safety, hazardous waste, chemical management, hazard communication and overall health and safety issues. Risk management includes coordination of the university's property/casualty insurance (including certificates of insurance and contract review), evacuation and repatriaton coverage for international travel and general risk issues.
In addition, the office has a close working relationship with the Investment Office in coordinating operational responsiblities related to the university's investment portfolio. These include internal controls along with custodial, depository, legal and audit functions.
