Who We Are

Collective Soles Arts Group (CSAG) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) performing arts organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people through involvement in the performing arts.  Our mission is to promote the art of dance to the Tampa community and beyond. Through professional performances, lecture demonstrations and outreach workshops, we wish to make dance and theater accessible to the young and the young at heart.

CSAG is comprised of two performance-based entities: a professional dance company, Collective Soles Dance, under the artistic direction of Alex Jones,and a pre-professional ensemble, Collective Soles Youth Ensemble, under the direction of Audrey Richter. Additionally, through its affiliation with Jansen Dance Project, CSAG sponsors dance and musical theatre performances, and offers classes to the Tampa Bay community.

Collective Soles Dance Company (CSD) is a Tampa Bay-based contemporary dance company is committed to providing the community professional dance performances, education and enrichment through the Collective Soles Arts Group organization. CSD's mission is to create dance works ignited by human experiences that elevate and entertain the community while artistically reflecting the times. To this end, CSD Artistic Director Alex Jones has established the ColLab Series, an annual collaborative production performance project. The purpose of the ColLab Series is to create interdisciplinary dance works in collaboration with artists, art enthusiasts, and community members. Additionally, CSD engages with the local dance community through providing the Talking Bodies choreography festival, workshops, the annual 12 Days of Dance classes in July, and additional open professional dance classes. CSD is excited to continue to spread the love of dance through the central Florida region and beyond. In 2018, CSD has performed in main-stage and festival presentations in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa, and Orlando, Florida, and will be performing in California in early August. Collective Soles Youth Ensemble is a group of young pre-professional dance artists who strive to enrich and engage the Tampa Bay community through intensive training, performance, and service.
