$20,000 Goal

Over the years, the Colorado African Cultural Center (CACC) has worked tirelessly to uplift the African and African American communities in Colorado through educational programs, economic development initiatives, and cultural events. We have made significant strides, impacting lives through programs like the Upskill and Get Hired, Digital Equity for Small Businesses, Youth Wellness and Resilience, the Young Tech Innovator, Business Accelerator, and the annual Dashiki Festival. Our programs equip individuals with the skills, resources, and opportunities to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

As a result of our dedicated efforts, CACC has:

  1. Trained over 150 individuals through the Upskill and Get Hired program in high-demand fields such as Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Project management. Participants who secure employment through the program earn an average wage of $56 per hour.
  2. Empowered over 70 small businesses with rudimentary business knowledge, resources, and digital literacy tools, helping to start and grow businesses in a digitally driven economy through the Digital Equity for Small Businesses and the Business Accelerator Program.
  3. Provided 40 middle and high school students with in-demand skills, mentorship, and experience needed to excel in the tech industry through our Young Tech Innovator Program.
  4. Helped 35 at-risk youth and their families receive the mental health care and support they need to be healthy through the Youth Wellness and Resilience Program.
  5. Hosted the Dashiki Festival for 8 years, creating opportunities for local businesses and artists and celebrating culture and unity with over 4000 people annually.

But we are still going. As CACC moves towards a sustainable future, we need your help to expand our impact. Your donation through Colorado Gives Day will directly create lasting impact among the people we serve. Your gift of:

  1. $50 educates one child about African culture and heritage through the African Cultural Education Initiative.

  2. $100 funds mental health care and support for one at-risk youth and their family in our Youth Wellness and Resilience Program.

  3. $250 provides mentorship, leadership development, a PC, and after-school hands-on Tech training for one youth for a semester through the Young Tech Innovators Program.

  4. $350 provides websites, digital marketing, PCs, and 3 weeks of digitalization training for two minority-owned small businesses through the Digital Equity for Small Businesses Program.

  5. $500 trains one minority unemployed/low-income individual for a higher-earning career for 12 weeks through the Upskill and Get Hired Program.

Join us in this initiative to empower individuals, foster understanding, and build healthier communities. With your support, CACC will continue to break barriers, create opportunities, and drive change for years to come.

Together, let's build a thriving, inclusive community. Your donation today will make a tangible difference in Colorado. Every dollar counts! Join us in our mission and make a lasting impact!
