Colors of Lupus Nevada

Through our vision and mission, the Colors of Lupus Nevada will:

• House and provide current information on lupus and its effects;
• Build a base of medical professionals who have agreed to provide medical care at discounted fees to members who are uninsured or have limited medical coverage;
• Provide a referral listing of professional services currently unavailable to those with lupus, such as legal advice/counseling, transportation, alternative treatments and medical support;
• Share info on alternative treatments and products with proven or potential benefits in alleviating the stressful and debilitating symptoms of lupus. For example, current info/trends in acupuncture, reflexology, massage therapy and other beneficial methods and treatments.
• Provide a network support system for family members and friends in learning, accepting and coping with lupus among close, personal loved ones.

How are we different

The Lupus Foundation of America is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated through research, to finding the causes and cure for lupus. A national network of over 300 chapters, no chapter or any lupus organization exists in Las Vegas or in the entire state of Nevada. Currently, there is an undeniable fact that lupus is becoming more prevalent here in the valley as more patients are diagnosed per day.

In Nevada alone, there are over 16,000 people diagnosed with lupus yet beyond those victims and their families, very few know or even understand what lupus is. Once a person has been diagnosed with lupus, there is no place in Las Vegas to go for help, support and/or information. For this reason, the COLORS of LUPUS Nevada was established in 2007.

The COLORS of LUPUS Nevada seeks to dispense, deliver and provide immediate physical services & support for all those afflicted with lupus. No affiliation to LFA is implied or suggested. Our goal and purpose is to serve the needs presented and required by those diagnosed or soon to be diagnosed with lupus.
