Common Ground

Common Ground’s mission is to offer help, healing, and recovery to people in crisis, helping individuals and families move from crisis to hope throughout Michigan. 

Common Ground is the hub for mental health care in Michigan, and the largest nonprofit focused solely on crisis intervention service, dedicated to helping youths, adults and families in crisis, victims of crime, people with mental illnesses, and others in critical situations. Like firefighters, police and EMTs, the team at Common Ground is part of our communities’ safety net.

Common Ground is nationally recognized for crisis expertise, serving more than 200,0000 people annually, with a broad range of services offered by phone or text, in virtual settings, and in the community. Most services are available 24/7/365, and no one is turned away; the generosity of donors and businesses is essential to ensure all those in need of help have access to care. 

Be it suicide prevention, working with survivors of mass violence, helping victims of violent crime, or providing behavioral health urgent care, Common Ground is on the front lines, helping people move from crisis to hope.
