commonGood exists because of our desire to be instrumental in the care of and investment into our immediate (local) and surrounding (global) communities.

We call ourselves commonGood because we are committed to being God’s Goodness, or Shalom, in Riverside through common means.  Currently, we are using our skills and passions in the Arts, Childhood Development, Sustainability, & Social Purpose Enterprises.

This years Give Big we wanted to spotlight our Fair Trade Enterpises Ten Thousand Villages Riverside. Through the sales of fair trade merchandise, we stand in solidarity with community-based artisans in over 40 developing countries around the globe. We do this to advocate and implement a just, ethical, and fair economic practice. Every product sold is our way of investing into the lives of these artisans. For artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed, and often living in extreme poverty, a Fair Trade Agreement allows for them to receive the opportunity to buy food and obtain education, healthcare, and housing for themselves, their families, and community members.
